Vienna, Austria

Day 1:

See the famous clock (it’s right outside the apartment or hotel)

Go to Historical Center of Vienna and walk around

Make reservations for dinner at Zum Figlmuller!! AMAZING- it’s the best dinner I had and it opened in 1905

Go inside St. Stephen’s Cathedral- most religious building in Vienna (big castle in center- can’t miss it!)

Lunch: Strock- quick and so good!! I got the long croissant looking one with spinach inside

Haus der Musik/House of Music- where Beethoven, Mozart played- you can create the sounds and noises yourself- IT’S SO FUN!! MY FRIENDS AND I LOVED IT

Dinner: Zum Figlmuller- Have to try the chicken schnitzel (that’s what Austria is known for and it’s amazing!!)- also you HAVE TO GET THE POTATO SALAD and that’s what the picture is- it’s not the potato salad like here- one of the best foods I’ve ever had)

Day 2:

Breakfast: Jonna (2 min walk from apartment/hotel!!)- amazing- maybe make reservations because it gets crowded- try mint ice coffee

Go to Schoenbrunn Palace- take subway to get there- it’s so easy and there’s subways everywhere by your hotel!- it’s one of the most important architectural, cultural and historical monuments in the country AND I LOVED IT- SO INTERESTING

  • Schonbrunner Gardens- beautiful (it’s in back of palace and walk up to the top to get whole view of Vienna)

19th Century Riesenrad- giant ferris wheel- take subway here!- it’s amazing and then before you get on it you walk through this building that teaches you about it

Hofburg Palace- (it’s the white palace)- find the amazing bookshelf room!! looks like it’s from Harry Potter

Alt Wien- traditional coffee- since 1936- waiters offering best Viennese rudeness (called charme)- shabby chic and nothing more Vienna than this place- I didn’t get to go here but wish I could!!

Day 3:

Lunch: Go to the food market called Naschmarkt- Vienna’s largest food market

State Opera House (Staatsoper)- get tickets for show at nighttime- history/feel/thrill of Vienna
